Nestled among the hills of Horton Creek and Boyne City, Lavender Hill Farm is a hidden gem, just waiting to be explored. Lavender Hill Farm is one of those places you can stop, relax, and disconnect for a little while. Once you get the farm, the fragrant smell of lavender beckons you to stop and simply enjoy the sweeping fields of purple. Lavender Hill Farm has 33 acres of farmland and boasts of 23 different species of lavender, making it one of the most prolific lavender farms in Michigan. The farm is open daily 10-5 May through October (hours and dates may change based upon the weather and season).
If you plan your trip accordingly, you can participate in numerous events happening out on the farm, such as concerts, catered lunches, kid’s programs, and arts and crafts activities.
Fitness Classes
Enjoy the beauty of the farm while enjoying an exercise class of your choice. The farm features yoga (adult and child), Zumba, barre blend, and Bootcamp classes just to name a few.
Lunches
Where do we begin to describe the excellence of the lavender lunches? We can’t rave highly enough about this event. Every item served incorporates lavender-infused foods. We were amazed by the creativity of the caterer and their ability to produce such a great array of lavender-infused foods.
Concerts
The Series offers a great range of talented musicians and genres. The Series is hosted on Saturdays throughout the summer.
Activities
Activities at the farm are in full swing! Each week offers an exciting mixture of photography classes, yoga sessions, barn dances, and arts and crafts. Visit during a Friday Lavender Fest to play lawn games, bring a picnic, make a craft, play on the swings, and enjoy the many other Friday farm activities we have scheduled throughout the summer.
We would be remiss not to mention the gift shop. This gift shop has a great selection of food products, bath, home and beauty products, essential oils, and a variety of children's products. Many of their products are made by local artisans. The gift shop staff is incredibly knowledgeable about everything and they will even recommend the perfect gift!
