We decided to camp at Young State Park before the Annual Bridge Walk and it was a nice night to camp. We would recommend the smaller campground near the lake as it was quiet, clean and didn’t feel too crowded. The water is crystal clear and beautiful, it’s a nice little beach to watch boaters and a beautiful sunset.

Very tight park, maybe it was the weekend we had booked but every spot was filled and it seemed very busy. Drive carefully as there are many families with young children and pets. Closer to the water the sites were wider. Good trails for biking or walking. Close to boyne city downtown which has events, farmers markets etc…

First time camping there for us - Nice sites, clean bathrooms and showers, excellent staff. There was poison ivy in our campsite, but still...This may be our new fave campground!

The main campground has amazing waterfront sites but they are very hard to reserve. This area some of the sites are smaller than advertised so make sure your rig will fit. I can park my 34ft total length unit in some of the waterfront sites but maneuvering into them with the rocks and packed in sites is a challenge. Some of the interior sites I have to park diagonal. In the other side is the Spruce campground and it is much more spacious. It is being remodeled for 2025 so I suspect that will only improve.

I loved this place, it was very nice quiet spot. There is trails to hike, volleyball, and swings!
