Located downtown Boyne City, Stiggs Brewing Company can be found in the historical Alpena Railroad building. This once bustling railroad depot promises to be the next great addition to the Michigan craft beer scene. The Screaming Tree IPA is an American hops and barley ale that’s well balanced and smooth. The Boyne Logger is a Vienna Style Lager that is lightly hopped and visitors a chance unwind after a busy day.  The Swoopy Swallow is a Weizenbier that has a wheaty malt flavor with an extremely crisp finish. Stiggs serves pub food with a twist derived from local farmers and vendors paired with Stiggs hand crafted beers and other Michigan wines and spirits.

We may have just found Food Heaven ! The atmosphere here was perfect, especially for a cold and snowy day. The greeting, service, and hospitality were everything you might hope for. Top that with the Bavarian Pretzel, the Stiggs Chili (Sweet potato chili topped with brisket, cheese, and sour cream), a Smokehouse Burger (1/2 pound, with pepper jack, brisket, pulled pork, onion rings, and barbecue sauce). The food is great as are the brews - we sampled several - and it is obvious that they focus on overall quality (food, beverage, service, cleanliness, atmosphere), letting nothing slip through the cracks. We would absolutely recommend Stiggs and hope to return soon ourselves !

5/5 Stars – Stiggs Brewery & Kitchen: Where Flavor Meets Fun If you’re in Boyne City and NOT stopping at Stiggs Brewery & Kitchen, you might want to reconsider your life choices. This place doesn’t just serve food and beer—it serves happiness on a plate and in a pint glass. I started with the Stiggs Hay Burner beer, and let me tell you, it’s aptly named. It’s so smooth and flavorful that it could probably fuel a hay burner (and me) all day long. It’s got that perfect blend of hops and magic that makes you feel like you’re drinking pure Michigan vibes. Then came the brisket sandwich, and OH MY GOODNESS. This sandwich didn’t just feed me—it hugged my soul. The brisket was tender, smoky, and piled high like it was trying to one-up the beer (spoiler: they’re both winners). Paired with whatever they’re doing in that kitchen wizardry-wise, it was a culinary mic drop. The atmosphere? Relaxed but buzzing with energy. The staff? Friendlier than your grandma after you compliment her pie. The food and drink? Unforgettable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves good beer, great food, and better company. Stiggs isn’t just a brewery—it’s an experience.

Very cute brewery in Boyne City, MI. Their BBQ is super delicious. My favorite was the stiggs chili. It has huge slices of brisket on top, absolutely delicious! They have a huge selection of beers they make in-house. The bartender was great. She even made us special shots for our anniversary. They also do a lot for our veteran community. Check them out to support local business and veterans alike.

Stiggs brewery is one of a kind. They have a long list of craft beers and wonderful food menu full of specialized in house smoked meats. It is a seat your self restaurant and order at the bar. They have a wonderful give back to the community program where they provide meals for the schools and families in need. Great place!

Great place, friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and great food. Expensive but good food and drinks. We had the smokehouse burger which had onion rings, brisket and pulled pork. The meat was tender and done right. We also had some fuggle fries, they were sweet and salty, really good. We Will return. They also had live music playing outside. Good place to stop and have some drinks and good food.
