Stafford's Weathervane serves incredible lunch and dinner entrées, all made from scratch with only the season’s finest ingredients. The focal point of their indoor dining room is a massive stone fireplace with a history all its’ own. Made of glacial boulders and shaped like Michigan’s lower peninsula, the fireplace actually replicates a map of the state including highways and interstates. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind arboretum atmosphere overlooking the beautiful Pine River Channel.

The Weathervane does not, at any time, enforce a dress code. It is their mission to allow guests the comfort they need to properly enjoy the Weathervane's culinary creations.

4 stars for atmosphere- they have old table and chairs outside and not cleaning up that well. It would be 5 stars if they updated outside patio to match the quality of resturant then be 5. The service was okay food- plating was poor and especially for kids meals. Kids burger doesn’t even come with fries or anything- fries 4 dollars more. Wallet was okay but not much taste for 45 dollars. Still a historic gem and that’s why it’s busy.

Would of been a great experience. My wife and I stopped for dinner. Her food was brought out hot, my very expensive steak was brought out cold, probably 75°. They took it back and reheated it somehow and brought it back out to me and the texture was like rubber. I talked to the server and asked to take it off my bill. They did take it off my bill. I still left the server a good tip as it was not her fault. Always tip your server good but I wish she would of been more sympathetic. All and all, my wife's dinner was good and I helped her eat it. Total cost for app, glass of wine, and her meal plus tip almost $90.

The view is beautiful and the place is high scale. The food was disappointing. The steak and fries was good but for a upscale place I expected more. The drinks were well made but it seems you have to only order certain things on the menu to be worth it. I got a better meal down the street for the same price point.

Got here at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon in June. There was a table available right away on the deck overlooking the channel, so we sat there and enjoyed the views. It was interesting to watch the passing boats and see the drawbridge in action. We ordered the walleye sandwich, steak salad, and a kids pizza meal. The food was all great and prepared properly. Service was fine. Definitely recommend this if you're able to dine on the deck.

Very nice restaurant, very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and as good a view of the water is one can get. We were actually hoping for a restaurant with a view of Lake Michigan but there weren't any around. Those views were taken by condos and other buildings. As soon as we saw the menu online and noticed the blackened tenderloin mac and cheese we knew we wanted that and we were completely pleased with it. The only possible improvement is getting the appetizer out ahead of the meal. Evidently it wasn't ready in time. In this case it came maybe 1 minute ahead, so timing could be improved.
