Smoke on the Water is first and foremost a BBQ joint. They slow-smoke their meats with various fruit woods and maple wood in their smoker that sits right outside the restaurant. SOW prides itself on serving made-from-scratch food, including their own Challah bread used in their Drunken French Toast. They deliver to all downtown businesses and the marina. They are located next to Hoffman Park which overlooks the channel. Come in and borrow a blanket for a picnic.

Our first time here and it was all delicious. It did not disappoint. If you’re a coffee drinker that uses flavored creamers, they do not have any except half /half . However my coffee was still very good . Their ketchup is homemade , which my husband absolutely loved so much that he bought some 🙂. Thumbs up to this place . It’s cute and quaint . Staff is very friendly .

A Charlevoix treasure! Located about 100 feet off main street. An old house that has seen numerous uses over its years is currently a restaurant. Tons of charm inside. Huge portions of food and everything was fantastic! Smoked meats are their specialty but there are vegetarian options that are out of this world good. Lemon curd pancakes? Yes please! That big plate of biscuits and gravy was probably the best I've had! Big chunks of sausage in it. Staff was really friendly and the dining area is comfortably, homey and well maintained. You won't regret your visit!

Very nice place. Really intimate setting. Brisket dip was delicious. This place is first come first serve. So they may run out of certain dishes. The Reuben sandwich was the best my wife ever had.

My husband and I had a late brunch here on NY Eve ~ although it wasn’t packed , it was busy with a very long wait for food ~ so keep that in mind when going there . However, they only had 1 cook , not sure if that’s always or just this day , but because of that we just gave extra patience and he still pulled it off nicely:-) Also , if you get there late , some of their ‘ known for ‘ items might be out :( Food was very good and atmosphere is cozy ( we appreciate this type of place ) staff is very welcoming & attentive so we were updated often with the time frame of when our food would coming . My husband had traditional breakfast & said it all was very good , Eggs Benedict is one of my faves , so i ordered that , also very good … My 1 tiny complaint is the H sauce was overly lemony for my taste & maybe it was a fluke that day ( I hope ) we will definitely be back more often .

Great service, nice menu. Had the Vegetarian Benedict and a side of lemon curd pancakes (YUM- should have just gotten that!) with bacon. Homemade, so it takes a little longer. Not someplace to go if you have limited time but worth a stop! *Was not a personally a fan of the homemade ketchup, but it was a nice touch that I appreciated.
