There were many interesting items here to choose from, and we picked up some gifts during a brief visit to Charlevoix MI. The clothes were a bit eclectic but were right on the money for our hostess!

Bizzare woman owns this store. She loves to ramble about right wing politics unprovoked. There's this extremely racist African American maid doll in the corner of the store. Felt super uncomfortable and left, never coming back. The Google maps page says LGBTQ+ friendly but this is absolutely not true.

This store is packed! Not a place to bring children. But your Inner Child will love the joy of shopping here. Prices are a bit high for your average person, but it is priced for the type of style of things they carry. I want to say that the merchandising display person did an excellent job! I dug the creativity put forth❣️ I recommend a visit. And yes, I will be back.

Looks can be deceiving. It looks delightful from the outside and the impression is that all of the clothes are high end boutique & unique. Sadly, buyer beware... I paid $155 for a denim jumpsuit with the impression it was a boutique brand... nope... it's from China & listed on Amazon for $40. No wonder she removed the tags and any labels. How sad to take advantage of people this way! After discovering this fraud, I wrote a letter to the owner with a picture of the listing on Amazon, requesting a partial refund... shocking, I got no response. I'm all for supporting local and even paying slight premiums to keep our local businesses open, but this is just blatant theft and WRONG on so many levels. Oh, and let's also mention that when you pay cash, she doesn't make you pay tax (and doesn't give a receipt) hmmm not suspect at all. I can't be the only one to have been taken this way. I hope others are wise to her tricks and avoid getting taken.

We ventured to Charlevoix to visit my mom's favorite shop in the area: Maison & Jardin . This little shop is full of gorgeous European-inspired linen clothing and home goods. I didn't make it out without purchasing a little something. My heart was set on a sage green linen bell-sleeved dress and red linen scarf, both made in Italy. Linen is one of my favorite fabrics to wear besides organic cotton. It is so soft and is such an effortlessly chic way to dress.
