If there ever is a place in Michigan that makes me feel like I'm playing the game wrong, East Park is it. What a small but gorgeous park, surrounded by beautiful homes and full of vessels that make it clear that the people whom call this lake a home (or vacation home) have achieved a high level of success. And I commend them. Moreover, as we walked down docks to look at the boats, none of which have any chance of belonging to me ever, people were friendly. Some folks on one of the boats waved; others said 'hello' as we passed by with our heads on a swivel to not miss anything. It was great. And I think the City of Charlevoix and their residents deserve a thank you for their hospitality and politeness.
