The worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. I had acrylic (ombré) and needed a fill. I called when I was about a hour away and asked for an early afternoon appt. They said they can’t take me in a hour, that I have to come NOW which I couldn’t. So I drove there in about an hour, Walked in, and they told me they were too busy and come back in about 2.5 hours. So I left and came back, waited about 20 min for someone to start my manicure. The tech said my old set was started to lift so I needed to remove it completely and get a new set for $65. I said ok. Then she used some sort of metal scraper/spatula to rip off the acrylic from my nails!!!! It hurt because it wasn’t lifted enough, evidently. I asked her to please just soak it off. But of course I think that would take too much time and she didn’t have the patience to remove the acrylic properly. She got a glass bowl, filled it with acetone, a scalding hot towel around the plastic bag of acetone and had me soak it for about 3 min, then brought out my hand and started to file, pick away and again use the metal scraper to peel off the acrylic from my nails. In doing so, she ripped off the top layer of my natural nail on many of my nails!!!!!!! It was horrible. I asked her to stop and just remove the acrylic and let me go.
Please do not go here and let them destroy your natural nails! It’ll take months for my nails to remover now. I wound NEVER again get my nails done in a town like Charlevoix that is a seasonal town, and doesn’t have a steady local clientele .
They obviously just want to rush through each person, don’t care about the work they’re doing on their customers because they probably don’t have many repeat customers. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! See my photo of my 4th finger — this is the first one she ripped off even though I said “owww owwww that hurts!!!!!” And she just kept going 😩 I am traumatized and afraid to go back to getting my nails done ever again.
