Disc golf is one of the fastest-growing sports, but some of you may still be wondering, what is it? Disc golf is similar to regular golf; except, instead of using golf clubs and balls aiming for a hole, Disc Golf players use discs and aim for a Pole Hole, a pole extending up from the ground with chains and a basket where the disc lands. In order to win the game, you must complete each hole in the fewest number of throws, starting from a tee area and finishing at the Disc Pole Hole. A typical course is 9 or 18 Disc Pole Holes long.
The 18-hole course at Mt. McSauba was originally installed in 2001, but has since had a total re-design and layout. The property, with a spectacular view of Lake Michigan, is awesome and the course itself is very challenging with lots of dramatic elevation changes.
