Good beer, great view, friendly staff. I haven't been here since 2016 when Beards was in kind of a back alley building, but it was quirky and had games to play, and we really liked it! Fast forward: great location, but beer is still top-notch! I'll be back!

Lobster roll starters looked nothing like the pictures. Also they were rude like we were going to eat and dash. Ordered truffle fries and served garlic fries in a small paper cup. Lobster starters were not good. Not even a half a teaspoon of lobster. Disappointed. Spent close to $100 and said no refills on our pop drinks. Still left a good tip ..it's the owners fault.. so we won't be back. Also we all ordered the lobster starters and they were all different sizes.

I had to stay in Petoskey for several months for work and I tried as many eateries as I could in my time. Beards was one of my favorites and I ate there several times. Their food is delicious, filling, modern, but they don’t over do the recipe so there is something familiar about their unique take on the dishes. The Lobster Roll and Mac and Cheese go great together and are hard to beat. The interior feels cozy, and the giant windows overlooking the bay are great. If you stop in you should find the elevator and head down to the downstairs bar, it is a completely different feel and is a great place to relax and maybe play some video games. Also they have special events, the one I attended as the MexiGander and it was worth the money and experience.

Great beer and location—food could use a refresh Beards Brewery has a fantastic vibe with a great location and a stellar selection of craft beers and mixed drinks. It’s an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the view. The food, while tasty, was underwhelming overall. Portion sizes were small, and the presentation didn’t match the quality of the drinks. The burger was decent, but the lobster rolls were more like mini vol-au-vents than real lobster rolls. Wings turned out to be breaded chicken tenders, and the fries were fine—but served in small, crushed paper cups. It feels like the food is meant more as a light snack to pair with the drinks, but with a bit more imagination and fresher ingredients, the kitchen could really elevate the whole experience. Beards has all the right ingredients—just needs a bit more attention to the menu.

Loved the spot - great overlook of the lake. Beer variety is nice & sure to improve as they grow. Dunkel, IPA’s and Red were my favorites from the flight we shared. The burritos & tacos were tasty. But the self service, pick up at the window & paper & plastic utensils have to be improved to get 5 stars. Did buy a 6 pack to go and had a great time here. Love to come here on next Michigan trip. Restrooms clean & easy to find. Wheelchair accessible.
